Mid-Gauge Pillow Workshop - Eileen Montgomery

The purpose of this book of pillow patterns is to encourage knitters to learn most of the stitch types that are possible on a mid-gauge 6.5 or 7 mm knitting machine. Although the book was originally written with the Studio LK150 in mind, all of the stitches and techniques can be used on electronic mid-gauge machines as well as standard and bulky machines.
The new 2nd edition includes information on double-bed fabrics, as well as the Artisan GE63-70D mid-gauge.
There are over 60 single-bed stitch patterns and techniques which can be used for all your knitting. The stitches include open work, eyelets, lace, decorative decreases, cables, textured stripes, tuck, tuck lace, slip, weaving, shortrowed and fairisle intarsia, fairisle and single motifs, plating, garter, and hand-manipulated stitches. The techniques include cast-ons, decreases, shortrowing methods, seaming, decorative edgings, buttonloops, marker row, casings, and embellishments.
The section on ribber stitches includes cast on and off instructions, as well as slip rib, double-bed tuck and racking stitches.  There is also information on how to knit all the single-bed stitches and techniques on the Artisan GE63-70D mid-gauge.
Learn how to knit the various stitches while knitting these simple shapes and sampler patterns. The stitch patterns and techniques can then be used for anything that you choose to knit.
While these patterns are great for learning and practicing new stitches, they are also wonderful for creating beautiful items for your home or as special gifts.  The patterns have been written for square, round and neckroll pillows using double knitting acrylic yarns.
The 55-page book has a color cover with black & white close-ups of the stitches, detailed instructions and a spiral binding.
