Tip #2

Using a "rag"

If you are having problems on your first row of knitting, (ie., when using the G-carriage), use a "rag" instead of waste yarn.  A rag can be made in various ways.  It is a wonderful way to use those swatches! Simply hang a row of the swatch over the number of needles you will be using.  Use as many swatches as needed.  Knit a row of ravel cord and then you are ready to begin your project.  You can now hang your cast on comb, weights or whatever into the "rag."  (click pix for larger view)
